For The Beginners (We all started here)
Our Foundations program is an informational and instructional program designed for anyone trying CrossFit or strength training for the first time. We slow down our usual pace to guide you through the basic movements and core stability exercises, get you familiarized with proper mechanics and technique, and get your body primed to join our group classes. Foundations is designed to ensure your success; we cover everything from our programming philosophy, proper exercise modifications and scaling and regulating individual intensity. It’s a great way to start your journey and to get ramped up for our regular group classes. Because the Foundations program is one on one, the coaches have plenty of opportunity to help you work on technique and get to know your unique goals and needs. Our foundation program is three one hour private sessions. After that you also get one free week of classes to experience a group setting at 734 Strength!
Do you have very specific goals? or do you need a workout program for home?
734 To Go is a program created for those of you who have minimal time and minimal equipment. We understand that time is a large factor in deciding to commit to a fitness program. SO that’s why we created this program.
Most of the workouts can be done at home, at work or on vacation. The only equipment you’ll need is YOU and a jump rope. Resistance bands are provided. The program is 6 weeks in length with 3 workouts per week plus 2-3 active recovery days.
We also program supplemental work for our members who may have more specific goals such as achieving their first pull up or preparing for their first triathlon.
12-18 Year Old Athletes
Our owner and head coach Aaron Brewer has 14 years of athletic performance experience. He also has education in the field with a Master’s Degree in Human Performance and Injury Prevention. All of the principles applied in our training is based around science and his experience. Aaron also has an extensive coaching background in speed training. He was a sprinter at Saginaw Valley State, he coached at Velocity Sports Performance for 3 years, and also coached sprints at Lincoln High School for 3 years.
Coach Aaron has coached a large spectrum of athletes over the past 12 years. Including youth, teen, collegiate, professional and Olympic athletes. He has also coached many teams, including but not limited to baseball, football, hockey, roller derby, softball, and soccer.
Our program is designed to develop and improve athletic movement. This is accomplished through many pillars of fitness including, balance, stability, flexibility, mobility, strength, power, speed, agility, quickness, and accuracy.
